Melissa McNamara

Melissa joined Richard Nelson LLP in 2025 as a Paralegal after completing her LLM in Law at the University of Law in Manchester. She recently passed the SQE1 and now supports our Criminal Defence team, helping ensure clients receive high-quality care from the very first point of contact.

Melissa plays a key role in progressing cases during the investigation stage, working closely with both clients and police to make sure matters are handled efficiently and with care. She is passionate about supporting people through difficult times and is dedicated to providing a clear, compassionate legal service.

Outside of work, Melissa loves to travel and is a keen long-distance runner. She has completed the 10-mile Tough Mudder challenge, and she is currently training to run a Marathon by the end of the year.
